Saskatchewan vet college gets new learning center

The University of Saskatchewan recently celebrated the completion of the BJ Hughes Center for Clinical Learning at its Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM). The center was made possible by a donation from Bev Hughes, who has supported the college for many years, according to the university.

University of Saskatchewan veterinary researchers say they have achieved reproductive firsts for the wood bison (Bison bison athabascae), a species in which only up to 7,000 remain in the wild.

Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM), recently received the 2016 Provost’s College Award for Outstanding Teaching. Dr. Muir is head of the WCVM’s Department of Veterinary Biomedical Sciences.
