New OVC study calls for participants
The survey-based study seeks to address access to veterinary care in Canada
Researchers at the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) at the University of Guelph are looking for participants for a new study, to examine access to veterinary care in Canada. The survey-based study will focus on Canadian organizations whose services aim to mitigate pertinent barriers to access.
This research, conducted by PhD candidate Quinn Rausch under the supervision of Dr. Lauren Van Patter in OVC’s department of clinical studies, will characterize the organizations currently working to address and allay financial, cultural, physical, and geographical barriers.
Participants will be required to fill out a 20-minute-long survey, either online or over the phone. The call for participants states, “If your organization is attempting to increase access to veterinary care in Canada and there is an individual at your organization who is willing to fill out the survey with authority to provide details on behalf of the organization, you are invited to participate.”
Those with further questions, or who wish to complete the survey over the phone, can contact Rausch via email.
The survey can be completed online on the University of Guelph website, or by scanning the QR code on the poster below.
