UC Davis has been ranked No. 1 in the world in the field of veterinary science, but for our friends up north, University of Guelph's Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) has been named No. 1 in Canada. That's according to the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World Rankings, which recently released its results of how universities and colleges around the world rank in various academic subjects.

Free eye exams for service animals returns for its 10^th year

Now in its 10th year, the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (ACVO) and Stokes Pharmacy of Laurel, N.J. will once again offer free eye exams to service animals. The National Service Animal Eye Exam Event will take place in May, but registration will be held April 1 to 30, 2017.

Zoetis, HABRI to promote human-animal bond research in new campaign

Having pets has been shown to improve human health. Which means veterinarians, in their roles as pet doctors, help improve human and public health too. That’s according to Zoetis, who, along with the Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI) it is introducing a new campaign to promote a growing body of research that shows how important that bond is to human health, and how veterinary professionals are key contributors to human and health.
