An unconventional “underdog” in Toronto’s much-anticipated mayoral race bested more than 80 of her fellow candidates, placing 19th in the polls.

Molly the dog—along with her owner, Toby Heaps—ran on the pooch-friendly promise to “Stop the Salt Assault” on city roads during the winter, CityNews reports. Additionally, Molly’s campaign advocated for affordable housing, honesty in politics, and, of course, a more dog-friendly Toronto.

While Heaps name was officially on the ballot, he claimed that, if he had won, he would designate Molly as the city’s first dog mayor.
