A recent nationwide survey reveals that 70 per cent of Canadian pet owners feed their dogs or cats before themselves, and over 80 per cent are unaware of local resources for pet food assistance. As pets are cherished family members, food insecurity among their owners often leads to difficulties in providing for them. To address this need, Humane Canada has launched the country's first interactive Pet Food Bank Map, supported by a grant from PetSmart Charities of Canada.
