The Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) has formed the Pharmaceutical Access Advisory Committee (PAAC) to address critical issues related to drug shortages, improve pharmaceutical access, and advocate for better product regulation.

The committee will focus on analyzing the current pharmaceutical landscape in Canada, including veterinary drugs, vaccines, health products, and feed ingredients, to identify challenges and shortages affecting animal care. This initiative aims to enhance the availability of essential treatments for animals.
