Real estate organization RE/MAX Canada and pet product retailer Pet Valu have collaborated to launch the Complete Guide to Moving with Pets, a comprehensive digital resource for pet owners. The free guide is filled with advice to help facilitate the moving process, providing valuable tips and insights to ease the transition into a new home.

Moving can be a disruptive experience for both people and pets, but with careful planning, the process can be made smoother.

“We’re very excited to team up with Pet Valu, as we’re now able to assist our clients, as well as their pets, through all stages of the moving process,” says Anthony Volpini, executive director of marketing for RE/MAX Canada.

“Collaborating with RE/MAX on this initiative was a natural fit, as we both know how tough moving homes can be on our furry family members,” adds Idan Driman, vice-president of marketing for Pet Valu. “By combining our expertise, we’re excited to be able to provide devoted pet lovers with practical tools to help prepare their home for sale and reduce the stress of relocating on their pets.”

The Complete Guide to Moving with Pets covers various aspects of the moving process, including packing and planning, preparing and showcasing the home, essential tasks on moving day, pet-proofing the new residence, and adjusting to the new environment together. It also offers specific advice on moving with dogs, ensuring the happiness of cats during a move, and managing long-distance relocations with pets.

To support this initiative, a comprehensive marketing campaign will be rolled out, encompassing television segments, social media content, and a contest. Additionally, RE/MAX agents across Canada will have the opportunity to distribute special “Welcome Home” gift boxes to select clients. These boxes will include a QR code granting access to the digital guide, along with some pet-friendly surprises from Pet Valu.
