Pets take centre ice with newest Maple Leafs collaboration

Chewy Canada has teamed up with the Maple Leafs for the 2024-25 hockey season, bringing fans a series of pet-themed rewards, experiences, and in-arena activations

Online pet product retailer Chewy Canada announced a new partnership with Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), bringing fans a season full of pet-themed rewards, experiences, and in-arena activations for the 2024-2025 hockey season.

“Torontonians’ unconditional love for the Maple Leafs is matched only by Chewy’s unconditional love for pets, so we totally understand the passion—and the healthy dose of obsession—that unites this special community,” says Orlena Yeung, Chewy’s chief brand officer.

Chewy will also be hosting a Most Valuable Pet (MVP) contest, where Leafs fans can share their pets’ unique skills and displays of hockey spirit. Throughout the season, fans are invited to post their pet stories on social media, with the chance to win exciting prizes. Five MVPs and their owners will receive Leafs game tickets, autographed memorabilia, and premium Chewy products. One lucky winner will also enjoy a VIP experience at Scotiabank Arena, along with a free stay at a pet-friendly hotel. Fans can enter the contest by following @ChewyCanada on Instagram and Facebook.

In addition to the MVP contest, Chewy has launched an exclusive Toronto Maple Leafs Pet Shop, offering a curated selection of pet treats, supplies, and hockey-themed pet merchandise. All items in the shop will be discounted by 10 per cent on game days. Fans attending Leafs games can also take advantage of brand activations throughout the arena, enhancing the fan experience with special pet-friendly perks.

Chewy has also teamed up with Leafs forward Max Domi, who is a proud dog-dad to Orion the Yellow Lab and cat-dad to Snow Bengals Leo and Hugh.
