UC Davis has been ranked No. 1 in the world in the field of veterinary science[1], but for our friends up north, University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) has been named No. 1 in Canada. That’s according to the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World Rankings, which recently released its results of how universities and colleges around the world rank in various academic subjects.
University of Guelph is also the third best university for veterinary science in North America, and the sixth best school for veterinary science in the world.
“We are pleased that OVC is being recognized for our academic excellence and world-class research,” said OVC dean Jeffrey Wichtel in a press release[2]. “I’ve extremely proud of everyone at OVC — staff, faculty and students — and the work they do to advance veterinary medicine and health research for the betterment of animals, people and our planet.”
