Eklin Names New President

Eklin Medical Systems[1] of Santa Clara, Calif., has promoted James Drury to president. Drury, who previously served as chief financial officer for Eklin, succeeds Gary Cantu.

“The company has experienced significant growth since it was founded in 2002,” said Cantu, chief executive officer and chairman of the board for the company. “With a 44 percent revenue increase in 2007 alone, we needed to bring a highly skilled executive onboard who could provide the breadth of expertise that Jim offers to help continue this growth and allow me to focus on longer term strategic activities such as new technology identification, mergers, acquisitions and partnerships. We are pleased to have his leadership capabilities as part of the executive team.”
