Trupanion and CKC partnership delivers big wins for breeders and pet parents
How CKC and Trupanion are setting a new standard in pet health coverage.

Trupanion and the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) have announced the renewal of their partnership, following three years of successfully providing comprehensive pet health coverage to new litters and pet parents across Canada.
“Our partnership with Trupanion has provided tremendous value to Canadian Kennel Club member breeders and their puppy buyers over the years, offering peace of mind through trusted pet health coverage,” said Natalie Tarini, executive director, CKC.
This renewed alliance between Trupanion and the CKC is a lifeline for thousands of puppies and their families. Since its inception, the program has paid out over CDN$10.4 million in veterinary care claims, easing the financial burden for pet owners when it matters most.
The initiative’s signature Go Home Day Offer has been activated more than 26,000 times, ensuring that over 13,000 puppies start life with comprehensive coverage from day one.
Behind these numbers are more than 2,000 dedicated breeders, representing 187 unique breeds, all committed to giving their litters the best possible start.
This collaboration underscores a shared mission: to provide peace of mind and early protection for pets and their families, while reinforcing responsible breeding practices across Canada.
“Choosing the right dog for your family can take months, or even years, so when you finally find ‘the one,’ it makes sense to want to give them the absolute best start in life—and that’s exactly what Trupanion helps you do,” said Margi Tooth, President and CEO of Trupanion.
